Ok I know it was a bad idea.. but I did it anyway, after all it's just hair. A few weeks ago Amy and I decided to color our hair. I have never done it myself before but a friend of ours does hers all the time and it looks great. So we thought we could do this. W--R--O--N--G Wrong!! This is what it looks like. Not too bad, but not what we wanted. So I went to my salon to get it fix and it's taking a few (4) treatments to get it back close to my natural color. So I thought I'd share what not to do your self....

AFTER: I know no make up but better!
Ok last year I made the mistake of getting highlights in Tyler's hair. He loves them. So since it's back to school time he needed a hair cut and what else... highlights.

All Star Pool Party
Now that we are done with the World Series we thought it would be nice to have a party for these boys. After all they worked so very hard to get there. So of course we had a pool party at my house. Each of the parents brought something for our cake and home-made ice cream pool party. We had so much food and so much fun that no one wanted to leave. The kids really had fun with the water slide that my mom's best friend let us use. Thanks Mrs. Gwen!!! And they really liked the water balloon fight. Thank you to all the parents and coaches for making this years All Star team #1.

Mavrick Jett Adcock is here!!!
After all the excitement of ball we knew that Amy would go into labor soon. But it didn't go exactly as planned. But after a long day and Amy having to have a C-section Mavrick was born on July 30, 2008 at 7:57 pm. He weighed 6 lbs 5 oz. and was 17 3/4 inches long. Both mom and baby are doing great.

Runner Up
Sorry it's been so long since my last post. July 25-28th our 7-8 All Star Team completed in the First ever World Series for their age group. We weren't sure what to expect going in, we hoped to play at least 3 to 4 games before going home. Well our kids wanted to win!! They wanted it bad. We played 3 games on Sat. 3 on Sun & 3 on Mon. We were undefeated until Monday and since it was an early game (and we don't do well in the A.M.) we lost. We had to turn around and play that team again and we stomped them in the ground. The next game Monday was the Championship game Monday night at 6. We played Bossier City and lost. The kids were so upset. We were so proud. 2nd was good considering we didn't expect to make it there at all. Tyler played the best ball I've ever seen. His bat was there!! He rip the ball like never before. He got several singles a few doubles and a triple!! We really enjoyed all of our family coming to watch him. He felt very special!!! Here are a few pictures of our weekend.

State Tournament in Searcy, Arkansas
We finally made it to State!!! We arrived at the hotel around 3 and the kids were so excited that we could hardly controll them. After getting the kids a little bite to eat we headed to opening cermonies and our first game. We played Hope and were off to a great start. In the bottom of hte 4th we were winning 9 to 0, but we let a few balls go past and the scored a 4 runs. But that got our kids attention and they stopped them from scoring any more runs. Her are are few pictures of our first game. And as soon as the ran stops here we will play more tonight.
