A Trip to the Dentist

Tyler and Taylor recently had to visit the Dentist. Which is not a bid deal, they love going to the dentist!! We have a kids dentist here in town call "The Kids Spott" They both had some small cavities that had to be filled. Taylor had his filled in November, which he lost his first tooth the night before. Tyler waited until Jan before getting his filled. When I took Tyler in I had the Dr. look at Taylor's tooth that was coming in, because the baby tooth was not loose. His permanent tooth was coming in behind his baby tooth so they had to pull it. He was such a big boy. He wasn't scared and didn't cry at all. They said he was the best patient and was more brave than the 9 yr. old that was in earlier.

What happened to us?

I know it's been awhile since my last post. Not much has been going on with us lately. However I am starting to run. It's hard but I am determined that I am going to get in shape and be healthy. And then Taylor got sick. I took him to school on Tuesday and told his teacher that he wasn't feeling good, so please keep an eye on him. I then reached over and felt his head and guess what? Yep he felt warm. I took him to the office and sure enough we had a fever. 99.9 so he got to come home. Then on Wednesday he woke up with 101 but didn't run much the rest of the day. So I was expecting to send him to school on Thursday. But when I woke him up he had 102.9. So we went to the doctor and found out it was a sinus infection and his asthma was acting up. We started an antibiotic and extra breathing treatments and now it's Sunday and it's the first day he is fever free!! YEA!!!! I hope this next week goes better! So there you have it.. that's what has been happening..

Can u shoot skeet?

Some friends of ours got a skeet thrower for Christmas. So they brought it over to the house and we had a blast playing with guns.... Well most of us anyway. We had some target practice and I shot the pistol. I haven't shot a gun in a very long time. It was cool and I think I might want to take the handgun class and get my license. We had a blast, Taylor pulled the string and released the skeet and Tyler shot 3 skeet. I think we might have found a new hobby!!!

A New Year, A New Project.

It's a New Year and I usually don't do well with resolutions, but this year might be different. Ever since we moved in our house (Feb 2005) I have wanted to move my back door/garage door. I couldn't stand having everyone come over and walk right in my house. And we had a storage room that we didn't use. It was "Wasted Space" so I decided to make it a utility/laundry room. So on New Years Day we started and by Saturday Morning we had opened the room and closed off my existing door. Now we are waiting on the mud and tape to dry and then we will texture the wall and paint that living room. Also I am throwing away junk and re decorating the front part of the house. I hope to have the plumbing for the washer and dryer finished and all the painting finished by end of January, Mid February. I know it doesn't look like much but here is our progress.... Now if I could only work on the other New Year's Resolution......(Getting in Shape)

Christmas 2008

Our Christmas always starts Christmas Eve at my mom's house (Me-Me's). We do Christmas dinner of Steak and Baked Potato and then open presents. After that we load our loot and head home to get ready for Santa. This year was no exception. We got home from Me-Me's around 9 and off to bed they went. The good thing about our kids is that they like to sleep. So Christmas morning Blake and I were staying in bed hoping the kids would wake up soon. But no luck. 7:30 and my garage door opens and Me-Me and Paw-Paw came in to wake us all up. The kids didn't waste any time. They quickly got up and ran to the living room saying, "momma, momma, he came!! Santa came!!" So we called their Mamaw and Pappa to tell them to come down. Once everyone was here we then do our Christmas morning breakfast. This is something I do every year. We spent most of the day hanging out at home and playing with all their new stuff.

I think he likes it!!!! lol

My crazy husband (They say "open me first")

On Friday we headed to Fayetteville to have Christmas with Blake's family there. We really enjoyed spending time with our two neices. They are so cute and I couldn't get enough kisses and hugs. This was the first Christmas in my in-law's new house and we had such a great time rocking out with "World Tour".

Aunt Boni loaded the kids up with Wii games.

This is how the boys said Thanks !!!!!

Sorry Boni, I couldn't resist!! Rock on girl!!!

Christmas Cookies..A family tradition

Every Year at Christmas the boys and I make Christmas Cookies with Me-Me (my mom). This year Me-me got some really cool cookie cutters from Williams & Sonoma. Well their video made it look so easy and so pretty. Well of course that's not what we found out. The cookies started off ok but when they came out of the oven they were horrible! These cutters cut part of the cookie out and you were to fill it with broken hard candies, such as Life Savers. Well when the cookies came out it looked as if someone had puked in it. They did not turn out the way we wanted but we had fun anyway. We saved the last of the batter and made normal sugar cookies. So don't worry Santa, you'll have milk and cookies....

Gotta New Camera, YEA!!!

I am so very excited, I got an early Christmas present. I got a new camera. It will probably be my only present but I'm ok with that. Now if I can just figure it out. I took a few pictures of the boys. Hope you enjoy...
