Only Taylor!!

From Taylor's little mind....

First let me say that Saturday, at Taylor's game I noticed that the bat he was using was too small for him. We knew that Tyler needed a new bat but since they are really expensive we were trying to hold off on buying one until they went on sell. So now I need two bats!! So after the game we went to Play-it-again sports and got each of them a new bat. Thank goodness Taylor's was on sale for $20, b/c this morning we were in the car on our way to school and Taylor asked me why I wouldn't sign him up for basketball. So I told him that I didn't know that he wanted to play basketball so we didn't sign up. I also informed him that basketball season was over. So that was that, end of discussion, right? WRONG!!! Now he doen't want to play basketball or baseball, he wants to play Golf!!!

This is how the conversation went...

Taylor - "Mom, I don't want to play baseball anymore, I want to play golf."

MOM - "OK, but you have to finish out this year."

Taylor - Well, ok, but if I am going to play golf, I will need to practice and we have some clubs at home, so I will start practicing today after school."

At this point I knew he was serious.

MOM - "Taylor you can't use those clubs, there your dad's clubs and are too big for you. I'll have to get you some later."

Taylor - "You mean that Dad played professional Golf?"

I wished!! I could say anything at that point because I was trying not to laugh too much.

Kenny Chesney is in the house...

After Taylor's bath tonight he went and got his "Kenny" hat on. He loves Kenny Chesney. And the funny thing is that he really believes that he is the #1 fan!!! So eat your heart out girls, I've got the real Kenny.

Our Weekend

What did we do this weekend??? hmmmm..... let me see, baseball, baseball and did I mention baseball? That's right each of the boys had 2 games this weekend. We only have one more make up game to play. Tyler's two games were not so good. They actually played 1 on Friday and 2 on Saturday. Friday they didn't show up to play but they pulled off the win by 1 run. So on Saturday the A's started off undeated, but it didn't end that way. Tyler got some good rips but he hit it to the short-stop everytime. But I knew he was due for a good one and on the last game he got it. A Homer!!! Well, it was actually a overthrow to first, but we will take it.

And Taylor's team, the Cardnials, won both games on Saturday!! Yea Taylor, and to top it off he got his first home run ever!!!! We were so proud of him.

So after a exhuasting day at the ball park, they each crashed!

On Suday we spent the day relaxing and playing games at my mom's house. And then we all went to my Sister's apartment to use her gym. Tyler thought that if he lifted some weights that he could put the ball over the fence. So we now have a work out the we will do 3 times a week. And of course I left the camera at home. Go figure!!!

A Fun Weekend in T-town....

Then we all went four-wheeler riding it was sooooo much fun. Here is a few of the pics.

And then Taylor had career day at the school and Blake brought his big truck and tractor. The kids loved it. Taylor had to tell his class what he wanted to be when he grew up. He first said he wanted to build big buildings, then he decided that he wanted to do dirty jobs. Yes I said Dirty Jobs, like the TV show!! Needless to say he was a contractor.

Then we had a lot of ran!!! The bayou filled up and came out of the banks!!! My yard was flooded. It will be 3 weeks before we can mow.

We had such a busy week.. First Tyler had to make a 3-D mobile of an invention and he chose the Crayon.

Champs!!!

We had a tournament that started on Thursday night. This tournament was a double elimination tournament. Well to our surprise we won on Thursday night and played again on Friday night and won again!!! So now we had to be at the ball park Saturday at 8:30 am. Since Blake is a coach we got there a little early and started playing at 9. After 4 games on Saturday (which we won them all) our boys were give out. So we finally lost. But this was our first lost of the tournament. And the team we played had only lost once. So here it is 6 pm and we have to play again. However, our boys, out of now where started playing ball like it was the first game of the day. Needless to say we won, and took home first place in the 7 & 8 year old Early Bird Tournament. Way to go Tyler!!!

Open for Business

For those of you who don't know I am working for Magness & Associates LLC. We just moved into a new office and had a big open house. I am not in the photo yet but I have had my picture taken and am just waiting to get uploaded. But anyway I love this job. I work for great people and I still get to be a mom and that is so very important to me. I drop the kids off and go in and then I get to pick them up!!! That's a big deal for them and me!!!!

After a day of playing in the dirt Taylor had to take a bath at Me-Me's, well we left him in there with a tub full enough that he could turn on the jets & that's just what he did, turned on the jets and added bubbles!!!!

Easter Egg Hunt

This year we didn't make it to church on Easter b/c Taylor was sick!! But I couldn't keep him from hunting eggs. So since we don't have any kids in the family that are the same age as our kids (or live close to us) we went to my BFF's Mom's house. The boys had soo much fun!! Did I say boys?? That's right out of all the kids there were no girls!!
