GT Field Trip

This Tuesday the 3rd & 4th Grade GT kids took their last field trip of the year to the Discovery Museum in Little Rock. We left Texarkana at 7 am, and let me say that's too early for me!! But it was all worth while. The Museum was wonderful. The kids really had a great time. I have to say this was the best field trip I have ever went on. Maybe it was the Museum, or maybe it was the outstanding group of kids that we have. Regardless it was great. Here are a few pictures of our day. Enjoy..

This is one of the classes that we were able to take. It was about how math can be fun! The instructor showed the kids a number trick and then gave them a little info and some bones. They had to become forensic scientist and find out who their victim was and who their killer was. It was a lot of fun. Tyler's group finished first.. I guess that watching CSI paid off!! HA HA!

Then the class got robots that they had to program and I think they all enjoyed that part.

Tyler got to play with the Green Screen. They had a weather background that he pretend to be a meteorologist. A man showed them how Harry Potter he disappeared when under the cloak. It was really cool.

Old desks and class room set up.

And No we aren't having a séance we are learning how electricity can flow through us. Let me tell you that it was SHOCKING!!

And Hair Raising...

We ate lunch out side under the pavilion at the River walk. The kids loved running around and playing on the art.
Tyler's got the whole world in his hands....

This was outside the museum and around the corner, but the kids thought it was neat to see an old phone booth.. They said it was like the one in Harry Potter!!

We even had time to stop by a Target and this is what the boys did while some moms ran in the store...

Kids Choir

Tyler and Taylor have joined the kids choir at church and we love it.. Tyler is going to be going to church camp for the first time this year and he is so excited. But what he doesn't know is that his dad is going with him to camp!!! Good for mom's piece of mind... Bad for Tyler's Independence.... Anyway this Sunday the kids preformed for us to try and raise money for camp. Here are some clips from last night... ENJOY!

Easter

Every Easter Blake and I usually spend time with my best friend Amy and her family. We usually go to church and then to Amy's mom's for lunch and an Easter Egg Hunt, since there are more kids there. But this year we did something new. They were calling for rain so Blake and I took the boys to the park Saturday with our church and did their egg hunt. They had tons of fun!!
At the last minute we got a call from my grandmother that she was coming down for Easter. I was so excited! All my family in church with me! YEA! But it turned out that only Blake, the boys, my aunt, Amber and I were the only ones to make it to church. But afterwards we all came back to my house for a Big Lunch... I really enjoyed having my family down for Easter...I hope we can make this our new tradition!!

Tyler's Lawn Service?? Or Swinging with Taylor??

After a busy week we had one day to get the yard in order before the rain came and ball games. So Blake weedeed and mowed the big part of the yard. Taylor and I planted some roses and picked up sticks. Tyler learned how to push mow. He really liked it. He mowed all the back yard from the house to the back of the pool and then each side of the back yard until he ran out of gas. I videoed a little bit when he first started. He did such a good job. So if you need a lawn boy, Tyler is your man!!!

Then Sunday afternoon it was very windy but Taylor and paw-paw took advantage of the sun...Taylor talked paw-paw into pushing him in the tire swing... They had a great time!
