This Tuesday the 3rd & 4th Grade GT kids took their last field trip of the year to the Discovery Museum in Little Rock. We left Texarkana at 7 am, and let me say that's too early for me!! But it was all worth while. The Museum was wonderful. The kids really had a great time. I have to say this was the best field trip I have ever went on. Maybe it was the Museum, or maybe it was the outstanding group of kids that we have. Regardless it was great. Here are a few pictures of our day. Enjoy..
This is one of the classes that we were able to take. It was about how math can be fun! The instructor showed the kids a number trick and then gave them a little info and some bones. They had to become forensic scientist and find out who their victim was and who their killer was. It was a lot of fun. Tyler's group finished first.. I guess that watching CSI paid off!! HA HA!
Then the class got robots that they had to program and I think they all enjoyed that part.
Tyler got to play with the Green Screen. They had a weather background that he pretend to be a meteorologist. A man showed them how Harry Potter he disappeared when under the cloak. It was really cool.
And No we aren't having a séance we are learning how electricity can flow through us. Let me tell you that it was SHOCKING!!
And Hair Raising...
We ate lunch out side under the pavilion at the River walk. The kids loved running around and playing on the art.
